Last weekend my wife and I spent our anniversary in Central California. Needless to say, it was cow-tastic! Full of open fields, fresh air, and plenty of fauna grazing in huge open ranch properties. Happy cows really do come from California—now I know. About a half hour north was Hearst Castle, and let me tell you—King Arthur would be jelly. It was absolutely incredible. Unbelievable really, that one person could gather so much wealth and have such an obsession with architecture. It really brought a few things into perspective for me. One, I’m poor.
